LOL I'd love to put it on but I want to wait till I throw the cam in to get it all tuned at once. Plus I need to spend another $300 for a 90mm throttle body, good news though, I took a second job at Advance Auto Parts just for some extra play money!

I am in the process of gathering everything up to do this very same swap. Can you use the throttle body and injectors off the 5.3 intake and swap it to the LS! intake?

Wow, been a while since've updated this thread. Finally got married, I'm under contract for buying a house that's currently under construction and should be complete in December, everything is moving so fast! Anyways, I've been collecting all my parts to do my cam/intake swap and i've finally found time to throw the cam in, i'm still waiting to get a 90mm throttle body so I can throw my intake on but no big deal. Here's a video of the cam, still need to get it tuned but sounds pretty good. Cam is a Comp Cams Thumpr part # 54-600-11

weeks does very nice tuning, your options are mailorder tune, get someone else to tune the car, john does a street tne for 250(no wideband), 350(wideband) or a full dynotune for 450.

Well, I stuck a vacuum gauge on the car today and it reads 8"hg vacuum at idle, so it looks like i'll have to add a vacuum reserve canister no big deal!

Yes sirrrrrr!!! Ok, I got my spohn a-arms sold and I pressed new ball joints and control arm bushings in the stock a-arms, I put the a-arms back on the car along withe the stock iroc springs and now I have alot more room underneath the car. Here's how it sits:
And here's the a-arms:
I also got the exhaust taken care of last week, I took it downtown and had a custom Y-pipe made and I originally was going to go with a magnaflow bullet but couldn't seem to find a place to fit it underneath my car. So I went with a single chamber flowmaster race muffler and it sounds AWESOME!!! Here are some pics and a video, it sounds 100 times better in person though!

Look forward in a couple weeks to doing a drive-by video and an in car video, i'll be ordering my shocks/struts this week along with a bunch of front end suspension parts and taking it to get the alignment done.

really nice project, and it seems to run very gppd. i´m thinking of doing the same swap. but it seems to be more job with this lm7 engine than the ls1 engine? did you use a lsx harness or did you do on yourself?do you have any wiring diagram if so you can email? Keep up the good work

Anyone know exactly why it won't fit convertibles? What exactly is different?!
I LOVE the S&W stuff too. Even if you don't want the $300 subframe package, you can just get the $70 crossmember that welds to your SFC's. Awesome, especially for guys without a torque arm mount on their transmissions.
