Re: LT1 to carbu???
I'd just buy the wiring harness and ECM. Fuel Injection is just better then carb.

Thats the manifold you would need I think. Not sure on what other parts youd need if you want to do the conversion though. I say do it right and just get the wiring harness and ECM, itll cost about the same and be WAY better.

''Will not fit 1996 and later Vortec truck engines'' my engine is a 96.... it will fit because my engine don't come from a truck right? if i buy the complet engine wiring harness i think i have to put an LT1 transmission right? and on this intake i can't see the hole for the distributor... i have to keep the original system (with the wiring harness and computer) or i can put a distributor ?? i really don't know what to do sorry about that.

What transmission do you have? Ive seen guys using the 700r4 on LT1s, and im pretty sure a T-5 would work also. Just search around on here.

Re: LT1 to carbu???
I would keep it FI you can buy the harness and ecm (used) alot cheaper than you can carb it.And not go through half the troubble but some have done it and loved it.

The vortec motor is an l31 found on most 96-99 Trucks, you have an LT1, completely different motor. Everyone is right though, you need to keep it FI! ****** a harness out of a junkyard for $100 or so.
