LT1 rewire...now using 96-97 harness NEED HELP!!!

Okay so I decided even tho my car ran fine I am rewiring the car using a 96-97 Harness. It was previously home made but onlly 5 colors were used so it was hard to trace.

Now how do I connect a 96-97 harness to a 87 bulk head? I have been following the LT1 swap directions but the colors one a 94-95 are different from a 96-97. The computer is 94-95 OBD1 (harness and computer was in my friends car 97 T/A)

Also I have a VAT-1 box on my wiring at the computer. On the homade harness Pin 25-light green wire...but on the 96-97 pin25 is Blue (fuel enable control)
And then the other end of the VAT-1 box goes to the black connector with is WHite on both (IGNITION CONTROL)

Now I assume I should just go by PIN and not WIRE COLOR since it still plugs into the same spot on the computer.

But this now screws me when trying to use the LT1 swap guide bc the harness has diff colors.

Even the white 10 pin, blue 10 pin and black 4 pin connectors have some different colours. Should I do the same thing just go by PIN and not color?

I want to hook these 3 into my stock bulkhead but didnt wanna go too far before having to redo it.

Also I have a homemade fuse/relay panels and it also looks weird. how do i intall a fuse panel from the 96-97 harness.

Okay I think My plans now are to completly strip the loom off of the 96-97 harness, while its laid out on the floor. Then pull back all the wires that are not running to sensors like the C100,105,210,220 and 230 and run those all in a seperate location and trace each one of them one by one and see where they go.

Now my main question it what do i run to the injectors, maf etc in the fuse panel. Do I just run it so when the key is turned forward (ignition) they get power?

You want them to have power w/ ignition on.

Not gonna lie, im lost in the rest of what your talking about. Super confused by wiring colours, id have assumed it was similar to the LS1 wiring, but im guessing not.

Okay I have been reading lots of diagrams and I just printed off the entire engine managment for a 97 firebird (donar harness).
I think I got it all down now. Im gonna start by unlooming the harness and finding out how it is wired.

What was confusing me is I have a chart that shows 94-97 harness clips(for the pcm and the other plug ins for the fuse panels etc.) Some of the wires are coloured different and some of the discriptions are a tad different to.

Now that I have the diagrams printed and everything scratched out that im not gonna need to hook up (gauges,evap,egr,air,AC etc) I think it should go smoothly.
