check out the new issue of GM high tech, they have an article on just that. Lets just say that it makes a stock LS2 look a little wimpy. . It has a matt black 4th gen SS that is a GMPP test mule on the cover.

BTW, the L92 heads will only fit 4.00" bores and bigger, will not fit LS1 or LS6 .

When I get around to it, I think I'll get either the LS2 or the L92/LS3 6.2L block for my build. Don't know on the cam yet, but something a little bigger than LS7, MAYBE. I'd love to throw a STS on there for kicks and giggles.

well hopefully by january ill have the cash to buy my forged ls2 shortblock from sdpc and i'm gonna buy the l92 heads and l76 intake with tb fuel rails and injectors from gmpartsdirect which will come about sometime in april for it to be a long block. But they flow crazy numbers for being as cheaply priced as they are.

ive been watching them for over a year now, before they were officially released or even mentioned on LS1tech...

they're great, but wait until you see them ported.... and in about a year and a half, wait until you see the new exhaust ports......

you referring to the cnc programs people are currently developing for porting them??? OR you talking about say aftermarket? This is going to be too mean with a turbo, stupid fast and daily driven

for a lot of aftermarket cams, youll have to flycut to clear the pistons. a decently big split is the agree upon formula for these heads. you dont even need anything that big to make power with these. the 6.2 blocks are have some liner alignment issues but its not all that common.

bigger cams for the LS7 made near 600whp over the 450whp stock

but those heads definately need a split since the exhuast side kinda sucks

not really, its a standard LSx exhaust port. when flowed with a pipe in place shows what i mean. yes, i knw the numbers of cammed ls7's, these arent ls7 heads or engines though that we ar brainstorming on though. ptv is a huge issue with these intake valves, cam specs/charecteristics are going to mean more than ever (best to consult a number of more knowledgeable people on this subject), and i have no doubt that even my mild setup will put me into the 11s with 4.10s and tire. also if you realize, the ls7 cams specs is close to thunders CheaTR cam which will make stupid power through stock manifolds... there IS a method to my madness. one more thing...ls7 cam is 210/230 .550/.550 w 1.7 and .590/.590 w 1.8 on a 120. theres a good chance i can pull ~400rwhp with a stock sounding engine.

i'm dreaming for at least 10's but mine is going to be a little more radical. Did you buy the L92 heads bare? Or did you buy them assembled and upgrade them? I've heard good things about the patriot gold springs

assembled
they were 800 for the pair just remember, do not over cam the motor. these heads dont need a lot to make a stupid amount of power. no doubt youll be able to run 10s with a more radical setup

cam is going to be more conservative with a turbo on the car. It would be really nice if they flowed more on the exhaust side. But i think thats what Mr. Dude was talking about people are making cnc port programs to port the heads and make them flow unbelievably. I've got a local guy that's going to help me with the turbo set up. lol he's turbo'd 3rd gens and he's turbo'd LSx engines. But never a 3rd gen with a LSx engine. So things will get very interesting in the next year.
