I am looking for 100% correct headliner material for my 1991 Z28. Bright red interior and headliner... Does anyone have a source for correct material?
Car is concours quality so I need correct/OEM material.

I've done a few of this style (foam backed cloth) headliner, though not a 3rd gen (yet).
I have not seen a bright red cloth. Years ago I was able to get a burgundy at Pep Boys.
All I see locally anymore is grey, and that at JoAnn Fabrics in HUGE rolls.
These fail by the foam failing. It "may" be possible to carefully remove the existing cloth, hand scrape the back side of the cloth to remove old foam, and spray glue new foam to it, then the foam to the headliner board. I hand scraped a headliner board with a razor blade to remove the old glue and foam. If you were careful, you might be able to do the same with the cloth. It's garbage once removed, so there's not too much risk in trying it.

Also maybe check with some local uphosters. Some of these folks have been in business for decades and have made contacts around the country. They have knowledge, history, and may know of sources that have limited stock left.
My headliner, perfect from day 1, let go all at once like a switch. Always garage kept car. There has been some posts on here that picky people (raising my hand) may mot be satisfyed with the aftermarket headliners. So I took mine to a reputable local upholster. They put new fabric and foam on and did a fantastic job. They had quite a few fabric samples in house and used 1 that is very very close to what was there. Now for me, I'm happy, so close to stock it looks stock, and above my head. But going for OEM hardline like you want, it's another place to start the hunt.

Just went through this with Flame Red interior in my '91 Z28. No one makes a replacement headliner in that shade. Let me repeat that, no one makes this shade. You'll have to get it custom dyed. Skip SMS, they claim to have it, then claim they have to have it made, send the wrong shad multiple times and then stop answering your emails and calls.
I ended up doing a red houndstooth that matched very well.

If you are still looking, it may be worth giving Ben at Colorado Auto Trim Supply a call. Large selection of a lot of hard to find materials, many are NOS and older aftermarket. Much easier to deal with than SMS as well.
