The plastic iv had from other projects iv done. As far as mounting I took off the aluminum splines on the front to make it flush. Rabbited the inner part of the steering wheel. So I can put the nut and retainer back on. And kept the grant steering wheel adapter on and used the 3 mounting holes to mount it as well

Do you have anymore pics of how the mount works? I want to do this on my 91 but was told the mounting shaft on my column will not work at all.

So this is the part that mounts to our shaft. It’s a grant steering wheel adapter. This part gets mounter to the new steering wheel with newly drilled holes. Then the large nut gets bolted on with the clip. As you will see in my last picture of the progress. Horn clip goes on and grounded so the new button is still operational.

I got that part but the back of the newer wheel has a stub on the back side. I assume you removed that so that the Grant adapter could sit flush to the back side of the new wheel. Do you have pics of the mods don to the inner part of the new wheel

Correct that part I cut off and grinded it flat. Then used a router rabbit bit to thin it out and make a perfectly level surface to mount to.

Thank you. I am going to do tis with a new wheel. I just want to make sure it will work ad be safe. It was just tough trying to see the details from the first few pics you posted. I wanted to make sure there the shaft was sticking out enough to get the nut back on and secured.
