Modify stock bird/ta gauges?
On the birds and trans ams is it possible to cut off the far right gauge, water temp and oil pressure and have the remaining gauges still work? I wanna replace with two 2-1/6 gauges.

If you don't cut the printed circuit on the back, yes. Otherwise it may not, I'd have to look at the circuits to figure it out

I found this photo online. I added the red lines. I’d have to cut the cuircut board like this. I’m guessing it wouldn’t work. Was just wondering if anyone had tried anything like this

That's not very helpful, but I think you might be able to make that cut and still have the rest function properly. You shouldn't need to cut the carrier, the white part, to add gauges
What are you trying to do?

Re: Modify stock bird/ta gauges?
I have aftermarket oil pressure and water temp gauges both 2” I want to mod in the 4” hole the stock gauge is in.
i spent all winter building the motor and trans and putting them into the car so not gonna spend much time yet on small things like this.
Future plans prolly next winter is to make my own gauge bezel. I’m gonna go for a 5” speed 5” tach in stock locations then do a iPad mini to the right where fuel/volt and oil/water are. Have the iPad control a radio that’s hidden either under a seat or in the back. Then do all my other gauges in 2” where the stock radio location is. Pretty pumped to do that mod but I wanna get some miles on this thing first.

Considering you're not going to use the stock gauges or senders, chopping the cluster on the end won't affect the remaining gauges.
It may, however, affect the back lighting circuit.
