Are any guages a direct fit with a stock dash pod?
I have a 1984 Z28 with a stock dash and guages (85 MPH speedo). As with most everyone knows the guages range between inaccurate and non-functional. I really don't want to drop a lot of money into an Autometer or Dakota digital complete dash right now and don't really care for the look of the intellitronix. I've done a search and can't find a solid answer. Do most or any aftermarket guages physically fit in the stock pod behind the bezel? I understand there would probably be some mounting or wiring issues but would it actually fit in the stock locations? Thanks in advance!

All the aftermarket ones are generally pretty standard but you might want to look at speed hut gauges. Those you can customize to your liking.

You can easily upgrade to the 87 up? 140mph Electric speedometer gauges. They look great imo and lighting at night is better and more accurate. Just have to get a sending unit that screws into transmission where you're present cable is attached and possibly an autometer sgi5 interface if speed is off. You can get the whole cluster off ebay for around 100 bucks.

I don’t think any aftermarket gauges would be a direct fit. But those gauges look good. Is the Speedo gps? Speed hut guages would be the direction I think I would go. Have you had any issues with them?

Wow, that looks great! I was thinking I might use the single gauges but add an extra cluster for air/fuel, vacuum, and the "extra" gauge that didn't fit in the stock locations but I like that 2-in-1. Probably a stupid question but are they mounted to the metal frame behind the plastic paneling?
