Getting ready to swap out carpet..where to get?

Looking to swap the carpet in my 92 B4C and wondered where everyone is getting their new carpet from. I see tons of people selling, but I am looking for the thicker stuff or mass backing I believe they call it.

Can anyone speak as to where they got theirs and what they thought of it?

Thanks

Tom

ACC makes the majority of carpet sold by many vendors. I got mine from rock auto, the thicker backing is an option thats called "sound deadening" on their site IIRC

I saw on Camaro Central site, ACC has a "std backing" and a "MASS backing". Has anyone tried either from them?

Hi there,
I tried the ACC carpet from Rock Auto, seemed a pretty good price. I got the standard type (NOT mass-backing) and laid it over the original carpet. I had to trim off the jute padding under the driver's footwell, because it was too thick to fit under the gas pedal.

I liked the non-padded carpet better, it seems to conform more easily to the shape of the footwells. However, if you are removing the original carpet, you might want the mass backing.

In a sense, yes. It has a thick rubber coating on the back, which acts similarly to the ACC mass backing.
