My interior featuring Saturn seats.

During my junk yard hunt for swap harness components, I sent the gf on a hunt for some bucket seats, it was a $50 all you can carry day, so figured we would get our money's worth.

Well, didn't she come across a Saturn SC1 with a nice leather interior. While taking the front seats out, I noticed how nice the rear seats were, and that they appeared to be really closely shaped to the 3rd gen rear seats. Turns out, they are very close!
I pulled the covers off of the Saturn seats and my seats, and took what was needed to an upholstery shop and they did a great job! (I'm horrible at this artificial light picture taking, they are a nice deep black)

Here are the Saturn front seats in and mounted. I had to make my own mounts, and since my stock rails were completely shot I had to use the Saturn rails, the mechanism to unlock the sliders opens to the bottom so making mounts was a PITA... I'll be ordering some universal sliders this summer to make a nicer looking and better constructed mount.

My speedhut gauges, these just go so well with this car.

And, my "new" used headliner, I had to wire in this dome light because my original is the smaller one without the individual pilot lights, I put some nice LED bulbs in there to update the look and to make it a bit more functional.
My original headliner board was in such good condition I ended up making a box for it, wrapped it in a tarp and I'll be saving it so I can re-cover it when I do the sail panels and visors.
Took the opportunity to tuck up and mount my windshield mounted antenna, it seems to work just fine.

I also scored a set of very very good condition seat belts and receivers from a Camaro on that same $50 trip, which the GF appreciates since my original passenger receiver would randomly unbuckle, she jokes my car doesn't want to share lol.

Basically it for the interior for me for this year.

Re: My interior featuring Saturn seats.

Thanks guys. They look like they belong in there which is what I'm trying to do with the car, is update it without it looking obvious.
The seats are comfortable and seem like they will do a decent job holding me in. Only thing I don't like is that the passenger seat doesn't have the seat belt guide loop so I'm going to work something out for that.

I know I'll regret the black leather on those hot sunny days.

Hello, nice work. First question what model SpeedHut gauges did you get, I really like them. Love the seats, Second question, I have been looking at 89 Gran am seats and wondering if they would work? Do you know?

Re: My interior featuring Saturn seats.

I had an 88 Grand Am as my first car (2 door) and the seats would actually look very very similar, but the mounts would be totally different so you would have to either make custom mounts (like what I had to do) or find a way to swap the seat tracks from your seats.
