Re: bmw seats

For the cost, you might as well buy a aftermarket seat, or swap in seats from a 4th gen.

I had wondered at one point if the Power G6 seats would fit on the driver side at least. But I'm not sure. I should have taken the seat from my G6 GTP when I owned it for testing.

Re: bmw seats

Any seat can be fit to brackets with welding and cutting, but width can be a limiting factor.
It's doubtful those seats are a good choice, prob too wide at the base like most german seats. They prob also have airbags which make them way too heavy. If they can fit , go for it, I had some Mercedes seats in my jeep that were great, but it took lots of tweaking the frame and custom welded brackets to make it work.

I made custom brackets to fit my racing seats onto my 3rd gen bases. Was pretty simple (no welding).

Pics are in my build log in my sig

Just make sure you measure the seat width

E36 started around like 94 or something like that and I know for sure the earlier years don't have seat bags, I think they started using door mounted bags in the 3 series before seat mounted.
