Seat Belts

I know I can put 4th gen belts into my car, but even those are (at best) 12 years old. My current seat belts and buckles look great, but don't keep you in place as well as I'd like.

What other types of seat belts have people put in their cars? Harnesses would be great, but I don't want to put a cage in.

Thanks.

Re: Seat Belts

I'll bump this as I am curious too. 4th gen will go in without modification? What about convertible seat belts? What else would go in without too much modification?

Yup, bolt holes line up the same. There's threads for what all else from 4th gens will bolt up.

I've seen some nice 3 point systems from Corbeau, don't know if anyone has tried those on here?

Re: Seat Belts

I have been looking into these:
http://www.classicindustries.com/198...lts-harnesses/
It's a newer design, not just a reproduction. But a bit pricey..

Coincidentally, I'm looking at the same ones, but even with a 20% discount code, it's a tough sell, especially considering the rears aren't included.

I hadn't seen those before, those look pretty good. Yeah, a bit pricey, but I'll have to keep 'em in mind when the time (and money) comes!

Re: Seat Belts

Will the 4th generation seat belt receivers work with the 3rd generation male ends?

Re: Seat Belts

Interesting find. http://www.seatbeltsplus.com/product...ro-Single.html They have every color for third gen. Expensive as well, but 7 colors.

But take a look at these! https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/seatb...cts/25/view/62

I know that 98-02ish cavalier receivers work with 84 and up F body belts.
If you want to use the J-body receivers, make sure you get 2 passenger side front ones, as the drivers side on those cars connects to the seat and ours connects to the tunnel.
This is what I was going to do for a cheap good fix for my receivers until I stumbled on a mint set of belts at the yard... Huge score.
