z28 cross fire cluster?
I found an older z28 today in the junkyard that was fully loaded. And had the original 140 mph z28 cluster in it. How rare is the cluster or that car? I robbed the cluster, the leather shift **** and e brake, and the grant gt steering wheel

anything else I should snag from it? I'm getting it's console lid as its perfect. I wonder what axle it has as its still there. The cars all intact minus the hood. And the whole cluster is different from the standard cluster.

It will probably have a 10-bolt. You could check the gears if you have the time, it might have a nice set. the leather shifter **** is a good grab, also if it has the leather Z28 steering wheel in good shape, those bring a pretty penny.
If you have the room (and the time) check to see if it has the fiberglass hood that some '83s had, if so, that's worth taking.
if the taillights are not scratched then those are worth taking, also look in the nose to see if the grill inserts are there (very rare piece in unbroken form).
Headliner, Sail panels, rear hatch glass bolts, emblems
basically if something is not destroyed, it's worth it to take it, if it is truly loaded like you say.

Re: z28 cross fire cluster?
Hood was gone, motor is there and in tact but probably ruined from weather. Interior was all there minus what I snagged, had all the power options. Including seats I believe. Dash pad was in good shape around the corners but cracked bad down the center. It had the round leather shift ball, I want the older 88 up style shifter **** but I took the leather e brake handle. I'm going to rob the door handles as they are good, arm rests, door handle bezels and possible the maybe the emblems as they were good. The nose cone looked really good as did the tail light but they aren't the gridded sadly. Same type I have on my car. It had t tops, rear window antenna, all the power options. It had a phone but I think that was added.
