Wrecking yard score !
I have been looking for a decent set of Fourth Gen. seats for a very long time. Yesterday I found these. $40.00 a piece. Score #1. And then I found an upholstery shop that said they would clean them for $ 20.00 each. Score # 2.
I have not had luck like that in a long time. I’m going to use them like this until I can afford to have them recovered with the Hampton Vinyl in dark black.
Before and after =
You can see the small tear on the bolster in the last photo.
Please excuse the back ground .

Re: Wrecking yard score !
congratulations! now the addiction will lead you to get 4th gen leather seats etc, best wishes, those seats look good for a junk yard find as they look to be out of 93-94....

Re: Wrecking yard score !
Thanks.
I understand about addiction. I've been addicted to this car ever since I pulled it out of some guy’s back yard for $ 500.00 . It’s my first Camaro and my first build. It needed a fuel pump ,water pump , power steering unit ,new steering column/ VATS module ,intake manifold gasket, front windshield ,new front bumper cover and lower valance, new rear hatch motor, some of the interior including headliner ,door skins. ,etc. . Runs like a champ now.9 years of hard but fulfilling work so far

The seats look great I did the same a few years back and have been happy with the decision ever since. Mine had a little bit more dirt but the wife's carpet cleaner vacuum fixed them up nice

Re: Wrecking yard score !
Thanks,
What I was looking for was 4th Gen. seats with decent foam and never thought I would find a set that was not ripped to hell. Now I don't have to keep using those damn cheap seat covers.
Like Joe Tag said, there OK until I get them recovered.
Time to do the interior.

Re: Wrecking yard score !
What I meant by "you talked me into it" was you talked me into showing you my plans for the recovering of the seats. I actually was bugging my girl constantly to "come look at these seats “every time I found something I liked. I’m finally done with that now. I found what I want and she could not be happier...

Well you can't beat black, until it gets in the 90s. Do the window cranks clear the speaker grills in the door? I thought a few times about doing it but it's not an option since I converted to power now.

The handles just graze them slightly.(Pioneers)
I also installed a set of 6x9s in the sail panels. They were a gift and the magnet made them too deep to fit inside the sail panels so I mounted them like this. Trust me that combination with a nice old Kenwood deck can kick out some Classic Rock very nicely. "AC-DC"!! Sorry I’m Old School.
