Re: Replace Front Seat Belts
Not hard, just need a "star" bolt socket to remove install. install has always been harder as the bolt can strip easy. If you are taken all of the belts, then you have to remove sail panel & lower headline to upper part of front belts & remove rear seat to get to rear belts. I'm sure U can get em after market/repo/ orig gm, but Ive done well @ junk yard, third gen classifieds or Clist

The headliner and sail panels will come out too, possibly more. The plastic color coded trim piece on the ceiling at the belts exit has tabs that are very breakable. Same thing with using penetrant and tapping the bit.
I'm a seat belt wearer all the time, driver or passenger, so I'm going to upgrade to brand new seat belts. These just came out; expensive, but can you put a price on your safety?

Re: Replace Front Seat Belts
Spoke with CLASSIC yesterday. I was not sure how the belt fastened down by the seat as they were not using that extractor. The vender stated that a cover comes with the kit to replace the extractor. I use mine ALL the time. Forgot to ask if The short belt comes with the plastic cover, hope so, it will get lost between the console and seat. Thanks for your reply.
You'll need a Torx bit in the upper 40 range (47 or 49?). The floor install removal is easy. I'd spray a little penetrant first then tap the bit in to make sure it's seated well. Then, remove.

Re: Replace Front Seat Belts
Sounds like they are selling you a fourth gen seatbelt with a cover for the missing lower RETRACTOR. Please let us know how it fits, usually using fourth gen belts requires some modifications.

For the female recievers you need a #50 torx bit.
(I just replaced mine)
I can only assume the uppers and lowers are the same size.
