Just Added Sound Deadener...
Over the Holiday Weekend I installed Hush Mat & Peel & Seal from the firewall to rear hatch. Still have to do the doors & maybe roof. While there are better deals online, I could not wait for shipping as this was a spur of the moment thing knowing I had the extra time off & did not know how much good weather we had left up here. So far, without the doors being done, there's a very noticeable improvement in not only the lack of cabin noise ( road, rattles, etc) but the stereo sounds better/deeper/clearer. I did put product in the sail panels & wheel wells. I also took the time to put in a nice black carpet I got from a 92 for 10 bucks including rear hatch plastic that had same carpeting on it. My carpet was so faded it looked like brown & the hatch had a grey carpet that had seen better days. I also went under the car & tightened every loose bolt I could find. The Peel & Seal came in handy for small areas needing to be cut/fitted & does not smell. I was working in the hot sun last weekend/upper eighties. I don't notice the extra weight (maybe 30 lbs) as the car drives like before. I would recommend this to anyone who would like a quieter ride & better sound from their speakers. I spent about $200 on Hush Mat & Peel & Seal & am satisfied. I only did one layer & the carpet had good felt material underneath as well Again, you can save $ if you shop online & there are a variety of products that work as the many threads on this site can attest to. I did not take pics of the various stages as I'm not good with that, but there are many nice threads here that are pic heavy & I relied on those to guide me. Can't wait to do the doors, but not looking forward to the roof cuz a while back I installed an over head console it was a pain for me. The only thing harder was swapping steel hoods by myself(don't do this unless you like to suffer!). Now I got to do something about my noisy Hatch Louvers lol!!!!
