gauges and pillar gauge

ive been thinking about getting the pillar gauge, only a 2 pod vacuum and air to fuel ratio gauge.

ive heard ppl have had problems with them, i dont mind getting the small one where you can position anywhere, im just curious as were to get one that will fit right on the exsisting pillar, ive found some on ebay but i dont wnana buy something that wont fit

and with a air to fuel ratio gauge, ive heard that you replace the o2 sensor with it, also some need to use a special sensor. just curious on how they install and if they will affect smog at all

Re: gauges and pillar gauge

I'm not sure about setting them up, but a pillar is easy to install, if you want it fluch, you use a plastic glue(forgot what kind to use) and sand it flush with your pillar, and then paint. you dont have to do that, just ooks nicer.

The autometer air/fuel gauge comes with everything you need. If I remember correctly I drilled a hole in the Exhaust for the sensor which screwed right in.

Pillar gauges are pretty easy to install, the only real problem I ran into was routing the wires/tubes through the firewall. If you can't find a way to route it through an opening that's already there then drill a hole through the firewall and use a grommet.

This is how it looked in my vette, I'm waiting on my ES gauges for my Z28;
