Aftermarket Door Panels

I have been searching for a set of vinyl door panels for my 85 Z28, but they apparently are hard to come by. I have been considering just buying the replacements 1AAuto, Hawks, and Classic Industries carries, but I wanted to hear from those who have bought them before.... Are they good quality like original? Do they fit well?....Just dont want to shell out almost $200 on something that I will not be happy with.... and if anyone was wondering, I am looking for the black vinyl door panels with the diagnal slots on the vinyl part....

Re: Aftermarket Door Panels

I bought a set from Hawk's and was very happy with them. It's just the panel, no clips or trim plastic on top. I remember there were preforations on the cardboard backing that you had to punch out, make a small incision on the vinyl over the hole, then fold the material over. They make them universal that way so regardless of whether your windows were manual or power, you would easily have the holes you needed on the panel (and the holes would be in the right spots).

It's been about 2 years since I put them in, so I can't remember the difference in thickness of the panels compared to stock. Maybe someone else can chime in with that info.
