91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

As several people know, the digital dash by Nordskog is no longer availible due to them going out of business. Well Intellitronix who sold Nordskog to them, has taken it back over and started it back up. After talking to them, they are working on the 91-92 camaro cluster for our cars. I have shipped in one of my clusters so they can verify fitment is to their likings.

So details...
Due date... sometime after the first of the year
Price... 395 is quoted at the moment.
Colors... they do have color options. I am assuming same as individuals.. red, blue, green, white.
where to get.. ebay profile. Read all my reply's on how to get a discount

Please feel free to discuss and ask questions. I will try to relay info back n forth.

I do not have a picture of one that I feel comfy posting. If some of you existing Nordskog owners have some, please post pictures so others can see.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

That's awesome! I hope they start selling them by christmas, lol. Way better price than a dakota digital custom one for our cars. That's just insane. Made my day!

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

Ok, just heard from them today.

They were working on the 82-90, and it should be ready soon. Then the 91-92. He said doubtful it will be ready before x-mas.

The 91/92, you will have to do some cutting behind where the tach goes. :edit: I need to clarify that you do not cut the black dash. You will be cutting the white(now tan) housing that holds your tach.

They will be forsale on ebay is what he said. Also, if you mention my name and this site at the end in the comments section, they said they will knock 25bux off your order.

Good to know there will be another digital aftermarket gauge // sets to add to the few out!!

What about senders & whatnots?? Optional or included?? What senders would // would not work??

Thank You--loking forward to the debut!!!

If they're true to the original Nordskog gauges, they should look like this, from this thread. A digital readout with a band of LED indicators around the circumference corresponding to speed/RPM

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

I just got word back that the will appear same as old unit but with brighter LED's. So the one Al has linked to is correct. 4 colors, red, blue, green, white.

As for sensors.
He says stock fuel, and stock oil.
They will supply temp, and speedo.

I have asked more info on the speedo part for people who do not have stock wire systems (IE LS1 swaps, aftermarket pcms).

Attached is a picture of user Timmie's dash in red.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

Ok, so the 91/92 model with vss transmissions, you will just tap into the vss wire. So you will be using stock sensor on it.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

So far I really like these... So you can get the numbers in diffrent colors but could you customize the colors of the tach and speedo sweep? Looks green and red in picture.

For instance I would like white numbers with a blue and red sweep on tach

KITT, they said bird/ta's are after camaros. I would guess sometime around spring.

Pills, he did say they would mix/match colors to your likings. He did not mention if it would be added cost though.

Sweet... They are pretty pricey as is, might be a better selling tactic to mix and match colors for free

Either way I'm a lot more interested now

Looks like the housings are interchangeable throughout the whole generation, but the analog speedos quit at 89... 82-84 initial style, 85-89 analog speedo with or without tach and probably had idiot lights, and then the full digital cluster (speedo changed to 120 MPH speedo in about 90 from 85). :edit: Looks like the cluster went all electric in 86... Could be wrong, though.

I even have a spare housing here if they want it... Except it's missing the temp and oil pressure gauges and the lens.

The brand cluster in this discussion for 82-90 is not for sale yet. They said it would be right around new years.

Other companys do still make one for 82-90. But not 91/92

Can't Wait. I've wanted one of these dashes for my 88 ever since i saw them.. but by then NOrdskog was already gone. Only problem is i'm starting to get used to/like the stock gauges again >_<

Might be dumb question ofc (i'm always full of them) would it be interchangeable/reversible, say if i wanted to go back and forth between the two every few months >.>

Heres 2 of the 82-90 Camaro dash pics i had saved on my computer

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

Slash, you could swap. But it would be alot of work.

For you since yours is cable drive. You have a sensor in the trans you have to install. Also sounds like the ECT has to be installed which means draining the coolant unless you have a spare hole in your block to put them.

Atleast on the 91/92, there is NO cutting of the stock dash. Just the housing. Not sure on the early styles.

I believe the 82-90s at least when Nordskog made them you never had to cut the stock dash, it was just housing aswell

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

Be cool if they do birds / ta's next year. I'd like a set in my 90 TA.
I have a nos set of digital gauges originally for the earlier birds and T/A's made by 2001 ? don't have the papers with me at the moment, but haven't gotten around to messing with them yet. They're not as well laid out as say the Marks custom kits are. Thats why i haven't bothered with them yet, hoping something better will come along.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

Any news as to the estimated time they're going to release these? I'm really looking forward to getting one. This totally killed my want of doing a 4th gen dash swap.
