is there going to be differences for V-6 and V-8 cars? I imagine sensors would be different depending on the motor.

I am sure it is in here but now that it is finished. How do these connect? Do we have to do any wiring or is it going to plug and play. I am referring to the 91-92 version

i would guess plug and play considering they advertise it as a direct factory replacement, but i'm not 100% sure.

The other company advertised direct replacement too and it was not. So before I order I just want to make 100% sure.
Sent them an email too. Will post their answer when they respond.

They told me there is some minor cutting needed behind the tach to make it fit- otherwise it is a straight plug in.

82-89 you will have all that, plus install a vss sensor on the side of the tranny inplace of the cable.
Once I got mine, I planned to do a detailed write up. But it sounds like the 82-89 people will have theirs before me.
I'm more then ready because last weekend my cluster went up in smoke. So I have nothing working

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
Pills... I had a speedometer go out(no smoking) on one which is what started this hunt. I then put in a junkyard unit. Its what went up in smoke. So I have no clue what had been done to it.
Not forsale yet people, however some have said you can email them and place a pre-order. I havent been told that by them though *confused face*

Oddly the speedometer in the one I have has been acting up a lot as well. It'll stop working for awhile then it'll work fine again, it's weird

the nordkog ones do sweep, only they dont use a needle
they use green leds around the digital numbers that light up depending on how much gas you give.

Yes, I know they do but like I said, I like seeing the physical movement of the needle that's why I said it would be cool if it did both. I could have sworn I've seen a new car that had gauges like that, but I can't seem to find it now.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
Just curious, anyone know what type of signals are going to the gauges? I'm guessing its just a voltage range for RPM, SPEED, TEMP, OIL. The electronics is probably not that complicated, the biggest cost would be the huge circuit board itself.
Would be nice to have six LEDs for the odometer, imho.
Kinda like my traditional analog gauges, but it would match my gear selector:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj6IrWcVmtY
They use PIC processors too
Do they flash when exceeding the limits? Temp, redline, low fuel, etc..
Per the website on the individual gauges "0 to 60 MPH and ¼ Mile Elapsed Time". Now there is a good idea.. hmmm..... that could be a fun little read out.

Shmidt, did they say anything about including other colors in the near future? I know in previous posts in this thread there has been mention of them doing so.

Alright, Blue is probably what I would go with also. I'm not in a rush though since I still have a lot of work to do on my car before I get it running.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
THIS is what I was talking about combining digital and analog. This is technically all digital, but appears analog. I wouldn't expect all the menus and such, but it would be cool to be able to control it somehow, move stuff, change colors, gps, etc.

I got a set of those from a local guy that wrecked his '91z Vert for $50. They light up red. I just don't have my '91 anywhere near ready to put them in yet...

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
I can't wait to be able to buy one of these, my cluster is so out of whack I don't feel it's worth saving... So, the red ones are for sale? I can't find them on ebay at all...
