Re: Help! Taking Off Auto Shift ****

if you have the ball shifter ****, you have to pull the button up (the thing you push to get it out of park)
it will come out if you pull on it.
once the button is out, there is a circlip holding the ball on the metal shifter rod.
undo the circlip and the ball should come off just fine

to put it all back together, just reverse the process

Re: Help! Taking Off Auto Shift ****

for starters, the part that covers the shifter comes off with like 6 screws. there are 8 but two of them are fake and dont do anything.

after you get the top cover off, take the center console lid off, and there should be some more screws in the console box itself.
after that, good luck because thats all i know.
i think that it would be pretty easy, just undo every screw you see

Re: Help! Taking Off Auto Shift ****

There are 2 10mm bolts in the console box and 2 9/32 bolts on top of the console box.You also have to undo the radio and hvac controls from their mounts.Take off the ebrake handle and the brke lever must be pulled up as far as you can get it to be able to remove the upper portion of the console.the lower portion should be self explanitory but there are 2 bolts at the front one on each side that attach to the dash which are not seen
