4th gen headlight switch wont work.... please help!

4th gen headlight switch wont work.... please help!

im currently doing the fourth gen interior swap in my 85 iroc to a 2002 ebony camaro. things are goin along all right but i just cant seem to get the dash lights to work with the fourth gen headlight switch. it will work the domelight the headlights and parking lights, but not the dash lights. anyone who has done this swap and can tell me how they wired it to work would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks

Gray is the wire for all the dash lights. It's easy as pie. Also check fuses.

but what does the gray go to? ive got one gray going to another gray which does the interior dome lights, but i dont know where the other gray goes i think green but that still doesnt work. ill have to check the fuses i guess. thanks for your help

Gray or light gray (cant remember off hand) controls all dash illumination on nearly all GM cars from the 80s and 90s. Its the same color as you used to wire the cluster up.

Just to make sure your dash lights are working, I would take the grey wire from the 4th gen cluster and run it to a pink or orange wire, (orange is constant hot) (pink is hot w/ ignition) just to see if it is working.
