I'm stuck!

I'm stuck!
I thought I paid pretty good attention to everything when I disassembled it but apparently I was wrong because now I have 2 extra parts that look pretty damn important. I know the bar is for the turn signal but I cant figure out how to put it in. I took pictures to get things across better.
HELP ME PLEASE! I finally got the new lock cylinder in and now I'm stuck...yet again.

Re: I'm stuck!
Pic #3 is the switch for the key in ignition chime it goes in befor the t/s switch should be a slot on rt side under the end of the tumbler.
#2 is the are for the ts lever, screw down the t/s switch and the pin on the part in your hand goes into a slot on the lever. the other end fits into the t/s switch with a short screw (the slot in the switch is in line with your finger in the pic.
Hope this helps

Re: I'm stuck!
I'm still really confused at where this stuff goes considering I have no idea what this stuff is called. I can't find any helpful diagrams either..
So I installed a new lock cylinder which is the reason I've done all this crap, it wont click back to column lock...why is that?

Re: I'm stuck!
I've taken my steering column apart three times and was fortunate to find a Camaro Performers magazine that shoulded the dissassembly and re-assebly in detail.
First, in Pic # one is your turn signal switch. It slides back into the colum with the slot for the turn signal lever (read below) on the upper left side.
it is held in by 3 philips head screws (you didn't lose those did you?)
Pic #2 is you turn signal lever. You first have to put your turn signal switch back in. (that's your big semi round peice with the wires attached.) There is only one place where it will fit if you put the switch back in right. it will fit the way you are holding it in the picture. It's held in by another philips screw.
The last pic is of your ingintion buzzer switch. The buzzer drives me crazy so I didn't put ti back in. If you want to it goes in the upper left-hand side just beside the steering shaft. But before the signal switch. I think it clips onto the ingnition lock cylinder so it can sense whether the key it stil in.
I hope this helps. If I didn't have the magazine article I'd be pretty lost myself.

Re: I'm stuck!
I'm not quite sure how you mean that your lock cylinder won't go back to lock. Is that the full off position? If so the small lever in behind the lock cylinder might not be doing it's job or there might be a problem with the transmission lockout? could you describe exactly what's going on?>
To be honest the hardest part of the column was the step you've allready taken. The next step is removing the three screws that hold the upper housing (above the tilt mechanism.) the only two things you have to watch out for are:
1 you'll probably have to drop the column. It's not as intimidating as it sounds. You have to remove the lower panels fron you dash. The there are a few bolts that hold the column to the underside of the dash that you remove. Then loosen the wires at the bottom of the dash, this gives you a bit of slack with the turn signal switch, which you'll need getting the before mentioned housing off.
2. Pull the housing off carefully and slowly. there are a few parts in there that are held on by the housing simply being there so keep that in mind.
Also the housing might be a little tricky geting back on. take your time and make sure everything lines up.

Re: I'm stuck!
Don't feel bad. The column is probably one of the most complex peices in our cars (that and I hate electrical) If I was there I could probably have the thing torn down and rebuilt in about two hours but that's only because I've done it a couple time before.
Another suggestion is to go to one of these pick and pull auto recyclers and find a simular column there. I've heard some people will use the cars in these yards as 'teaching-aids' and use that as an example of what you're doing.

Re: I'm stuck!
How do I go about removing that turn signal switch, thats my obstacle now. It doesn't want to pull apart, I took all the metal bracket things on it off, and still it wont budge. (pic #1)
Edit: So I got the black covers off and each individual wire seems to be a contact (if that makes any sense). I thought this was supposed to disconnect, I don't see how else you would remove the column cover...damn it!
So apparently I broke the signal switch because I didn't read carefully enough. I trace the wires and I can unplug it somewhere and pull the switch right out, allowing me to remove the column cover? Jeez I feel like an idiot, lol. This is starting to look like a Visa TuneUp.
