Re: HVAC vacuum hose connector needed
I have several of the vacuum valves with the connectors in good shape but that only looks kinda like part of one from the back side. Which function is that supposed to be for?

Yeah, I know. There are TWO of them. One has two vacuum hoses going to it, the other has 6. I'm guessing it's the latter one?
I have them both but they are still connected to the switches. Not sure I want to separate them. Are you sure your valve is good and not leaking like they get?
The part you want might be permanently attached to the vacuum hoses, not sure but they seem to be. Maybe somebody else around here knows?

It’s the 6-tube rubbery connector. Yes, the connector is bonded to the individual vacuum tubes. I just wanted a broken or crappy connector to use as a pattern for some 3M double-sided gasket material to seal the connector to the HVAC selector switch. I’ve done the fix to the switch itself by replacing the factory plastic clip with a bolt and nyloc nut and lubricated the rubber diaphragm with a vacuum seal grease. The hissing has been greatly reduced, but the rubbery connector is old and is held in place by only two push-on nuts. The seal between the connector and the switch is less than optimal.

Re: HVAC vacuum hose connector needed
All I have besides complete HVAC units are the valves with connectors attached with a bit of hoses attached for reference. All in great shape and I kinda hate to separate them. Doesn't the one you have qualify as a broken or crappy connector to use for a pattern?
I have a good connector if you could figure out how to splice the tubing together but I only have like an inch from the connector in tubing
If you could find some kind of skinny tubing to slip over the existing tubes that would fit securely on the valve, you do them individually and that might work???

Re: HVAC vacuum hose connector needed
The only connector I have is in the car and other than the fact that it’s not very rigid it’s in good shape. I wouldn’t want to remove it from the car to make a seal/gasket pattern and making a pattern while it’s still in the car would be difficult. The problem is the age of the connector and the material it’s made from, plus it relies solely on two push-nuts to make a good seal against the switch.
