82-92 Firebird grey driver's cupholder
Hi all,
I live in San Jose and am looking for a 82-92 firebird cup holder. The driver side on but in grey.
It's the same one that can be seen here but this one is black and I have the grey interior:

Just so you know. The cup holders are all originally black then just painted to match which ever color the interior was..I have a tan set and you can clearly see they are black plastic painted tan.

It's somewhat of a moot point anyway. At the end the gray driver's side wasn't the right gray anyway. Old photo, both of these cup holders are Long Duk Gone, but you can see how the NOS driver's side wasn't even close. At the same time, the gray passenger's side from the dealership was the right color.
Pretty stupid cup holders anyway. The mounts are weak as hell, they get in the way entering and exiting the car, they're so big cans and most cups don't fit snug anyway because some nitwit decided 44oz cups should neck down at the bottom to fit in a cup holder intended for a 12oz can. If all the pieces of a broken cup holder are still on hand, epoxy or JBWeld will hold them together almost as well as a replacement unit.

I guess I could do that. I've never painted plastics. What color paint would match? If it doesn't match my passenger side then I guess I could always just paint them both

Originally they were molded in color. As GM phased out the service parts, the first to go was tan, followed by gray, and finally black. When a specific color was no longer available the computer would list the black part number and include a note "paint to match".

Very good info. I've tried glue and didn't work out too well but I may give it another try using something a bit better before I decide to buy another one and paint it. I went to two junk yards today and none of the firebirds there had any cup holders
