Also, you can and should leave feedback in iTrader... If a seller hasn't received feedback before, the iTrader link under their name may not show up. If you open that user's profile, and copy the user number from the address bar, you can paste it into this link after the "=" to open the itrader profile for that user.
I have done my best to warn everyone over the last month, unfortunately I am not that tech savvy. I have called him and left messages he is a real estate agent . Just a fair warning for everyone, thanks for your advice. I have had nothing but positive trading experience's on here, unfortunately Mr Neil has spoiled that for me.
I bought the shifter plate and boot, he posted pictures of all them for sale, all with boot brackets in the picture, never got a bracket. I would of not bought the used boot if I knew it didn't come with a bracket, I would of bought a new one, they don't come with brackets either. When I finally got him to start responding his response was "the ones on ebay don't come with brackets why would mine" hmm maybe because it was shown in the picture of the item?
He quoted me "exact" shipping costs, the item was even delayed to be sent out for this reason, he lied about the shipping cost and doubled it.
The part was described as flawless. There is a 1 inch slit where someone had cut it with a grinder/Dremel on accident. The slit is in the ashtray compartment so it is not noticeable unless you know it's there and are looking for it. His response was "who cares you can't see it" I care, my car is pretty unmolested and clean and I have worked very hard to keep it that way, it would be a different story if you described this as you should of.
He never responded to emails regarding the issues until I started calling him out publicly on here. He could of easily shipped me the bracket for the extra money he made off me on the shipping. Instead he lied and tried to belittle me.
It's not the end of the world but I've been hanging out around here for almost two decades. I've driven across 2 states to buy a transmission, I've had countless positive experiences on here buying parts.
My experience with him just was really disgusting, I consider this place a pretty tight community, I don't see any room for that here.
