I almost purchased something but he kept changing his descriptions of what I needed and wouldnt tell me prices. I would love to have auto up-down switches but seemed too shadey, I wish there was someone else making something like that

Just a heads up to anyone interested, be very careful. This member makes nice products but is apparently not up to the task of keeping up with all the transactions. He sells his products on many forums and has recently been banned from several due to customers paying for a product and not receiving it. I honestly do not believe that Jabin is a crook, but seems to be overwhelmed with his work load and his communication is poor at best.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I just got one of your harnesses from a fellow member. I have a few questions about it. First off, is there supposed to be pink power wires going to the switch connectors? Do the two cut pink wires tie into the factory harness just like the other cut wires, or is one for the factory harness and the other one supposed to go to the switches? Also is the only chassis ground for this harness the one that comes from the relay block?
I’ve looked at all the harnesses you have posted pictures of and they are all different. I also sent you an email about this harness as well.

Eh…looks like somebody has tried altering the harness for whatever reason. I still build these but honestly, they sell out just as quickly as I get them because I build these kits for quite a few GM platforms now…3rd gens don’t seem to be as popular of a window upgrade I guess.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
You would be better off sending that harness back to me to fix whatever the other guy did to “modify” it because from the looks of it, somebody thought they knew more about how it should work than the person who has been making these kits for over 10 years now lol. At least that way I can repair it and bench test its operation.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
lol…I don’t get enough modules supplied to me that would allow me to build up a huge stock of different applications. I just got an order today for a crew cab kit and one for a K5. That takes 12 modules out of my inventory right off the bat so yeah…they go quick…first come first serve bascially.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
Anyone here know anymore about these Harnesses that the OP was making?
Or have any way to reach them?
Maybe someone might know what the 4 Components are in the Image below (not the 4 standard Relays... the other components):

Thank you for the Part Number, I could not see it well enough.
They are: "Express-Down" Window Control modules and require an external Relay, just as the OP shows it wired.
Thanks again!

I originally had some quality control issues on my 1st Power Window Relay Kit from @formula1LE but after many years of service across two different Firebird's I'm still very pleased!

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I was looking for an AUTO UP/ AUTO down conversion for the windows in my 1992 Trans Am convertible. I came across this site:
https://bravetech.ca/product/window-...d-camaro-pair/
It uses solid state relays to control the windows (removing the strain from the original switches). It also has the "one touch up/ one touch down" built in.
It claims to be completely plug and play (no modifications needed.)
The cost is listed at $176 plus $12 for shipping. What do you guys think of this option compared to the others in this thread?

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
This kit does in fact deliver the entire 12V to the window motors because it has internal solid state relays. It also has the "one touch up/ one touch down" built in. That feature relies on relays to roll the window up/down when you are no longer touching the switch. Here is a pic of what the unit looks like without the cover. The components circled in green are the solid state relays:
Because the current/load is handled by the relays, this kit should speed up the windows in our Third Gens. At the same time, it should remove the strain on our original switches. I forgot to mention in my original post, the kit includes one for each window. I am thinking about ordering a set.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
@91banditt2 you are confusing 2 separate products here. In your last post, the link that you are referring to is for BraveTECH's "one touch switches"... Pictured and linked below
https://bravetech.ca/product/retrofi...rebird-camaro/
The other product that we have been talking about is linked and pictured below... This kit uses your factory window switches (as seen in the product images) and stated in the description on the webpage.
https://bravetech.ca/product/window-...d-camaro-pair/
To comment on what you said, "What they don't do is supply 12 vdc to the window motors, an issue with factory design is the voltage drop since there are no relays in the system to supply 12 vdc to the window motors, you get less than 12 vdc and thats one of the reasons the windows are slow on third gens, other reasons have to do with parts and electrical components are 40 years old."
First, 12V relays don't supply power to the window motors. The power comes from the cars battery/charging system. Relays are just an electromechanical way of completing a circuit. It is true that there is a measurable voltage/current drop at the power window motor if that power is going through the factory switch, vs replacing that switch with a relay. This is due in part to oxidation and sulfidation of the contacts of that 40 year old switch. The key thing to remember is, whether that switch is replaced with a mechanical relay (like those in the harness made by @formula1LE), or a solid state relay (as are found in BraveTECH's kit), the resulting increase in window speed is due to a decrease in resistance within the power window circuit.
Here is a fictitious example:
If we test the voltage at the power window motor, completing the circuit with the factory switch we would likely see around=================== 10.8v
If we test the voltage at the power window motor, completing the circuit with a mechanical relay (as in @formula1LE 's kit), we should see around=== 12v
If we test the voltage at the power window motor, completing the circuit with a Solid State Relay (as in BraveTECH's kit), we should see around======= 12v
In other words, eliminating the resistance from the factory switch is what speeds up the windows. Both @formula1LE 's kit, and BraveTECH's kit do this equally well.
As a final thought, look at the pic below of the kit that uses our original switches. Do you see how small the sleeve is that connects the 2 pieces (highlighted by the red square)?
There are 4 wires in that sleeve, just as there are 4 wires going to our original switches. If the units didn't have relays built in, those tiny wires could never handle the power draw of the window motors. They would be smoking and melting in seconds. That proves there are solid state relays in the bottom half, to handle that current draw.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I used to have his phone number years ago, but have long since lost it. Wish I still had it. I have his window up/down kits in both of my thirdgens and they work great. Bought a fan wire kit from him. Had a couple simple questions about the installation and he refuses to help at all, or even reply with basic assistance. His quality is great, but follow through on customer assistance is severly lacking.
