Nice Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes- **Price drop -$150**

Dual enclosures are now $150

Hello Thirdgen,

I have a few enclosures I would like to sell. For those that don't know, I built and sold many of these during the summer/fall, I have a couple left over that I would like to get rid of. These few enclosures I have left over are of a newer design that allows straight forward drop in installation as well as more air space.

New single 12" Enclosures. I am asking $150 Shipped.

Next is a new Black Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure. I'm asking $180 Shipped.

Next one is designed for people who need trunk space. It is perfect for convertibles as well. It also is very light for the performance guys. $165 shipped

I will be slightly negotiable with these prices. PM me a solid offer, and its yours.

They provide great bass and look better than any enclosure on the market.

I have many other sizes and colors available. PM me with what you want, and most likely I've got it.

Mods, I placed this thread here with hopes of a quicker sell. This section gets way traffic than the Misc. section. Furthermore, a sub-woofer enclosure is arguably an interior item. Especially one of my design, as it sits flush in the trunk and is made to specifically match the interior plastics so the trunk area is more aesthetically pleasing.

Re: Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes

Yeahp. It has roughly .85 Cubic feet. It is designed to hold a single 10" subwoofer. Mounting depth of 10".

That is the standard size that we have, we can build it slightly smaller or larger.

Definitley. I believe I might have one currently in stock with about .80 feet.

Here's a pic showing where the amp hides.

Re: Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes

Due to the length of that amp, half of the amp will be sitting on the extended portion of the enclosure, and the other half will be sitting on top of the actual air space. You can mount that amp on the top of the shelf, but you will have to run the wires from the driver side of the amp on top of the box, to the passenger side of the amp, then run them underneath.

Hopefully that made sense, it was difficult to put into words.

Yes I can build a flush enclosure with .65 CU feet.

Re: Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes

that made perfect sense. been trying to figure a way to run the rca's a way that looks clean but my only option is either to build a shelf for the amp or run the rca's under the amp and split the speaker wires and power wires to look nice. if I extend you were to extend to top piece to fill all the way across I would have a lil more room but not much. thanks.

Re: Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes

Just an Idea, you can hide the amp in the spare tire compartment.

Or I can possible run a channel underneath the top piece of the enclosure, allowing you to route the wires from both sides of the amp underneath the wood.Let me know if that makes sense.

Re: Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes- **Price drop -$180**

Here's a challenge for you. A box for 2 15" subs, approx 1 cubic ft of air space each for an '85 Camaro. Height & overall top dimensions will obviously be determined by the need for the air space. I am not concerned about the use of the glovebox or have no need for a t-top storage location. I can design the amp rack around the box dimensions. I am very serious about this so please give me a serious estimate. I have already been to your web page so I am confident with your ability so thank you very much for your ideas.

Thank you!

Scott

I will be purchasing one of these next week, does anyone have any feedback who has purchased one? Quality, look, rattles, fitment issues in trunk or any fitment issues with sub or amp space? It would be appreciated! They sure do look nice, just want to be sure.

I dont have a low rise dual 10", however the larger enclosures will fit a convertible. So you could go with the high rise dual 10".

Re: Nice Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes- **Price drop -$150**

I have bought a dual 12" box. No complaints really. Figment is great. The box was built as a shared chambered enclosure. The only issue BuggyDisaster ran across was the sub depth on one side. He made 2 rings to raise it. Although shifting the opening toward the center would have allowed it just fine. My subs have very deep baskets. The magnet would hit the ledge on the passenger side in the box without the rings.

As far as sound goes, it hits like a beast. I am feeding 1600w RMS (measured) to the subs. My wife can hear me driving up. We live in a 3rd floor apt. One of daughters said the subs were vibrating our door ****.

My preference would be to have a dual chamber. The looks are good though. I opted for black vinyl.

Just for reference, my subs weigh about 25 lbs each. Soundstream RW-12. 600w RMS each.

I listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sting, Devildriver and Big Smo and everything in between. Everything sounds great.

I would recommend Scosche push style terminals. I am running 12 ga wires to them with no issues.

For the price, it beats the prefab boxes out there.

FooFighters92, I hope you go for the box. I am quite happy.

Anyone with t-tops able to store them back in the trunk with the sub box there?

I have t-tops. But I rarely take them off. I never use the hold downs. Maybe someone else can chime in. I keep my amps in the hatch area.

Buggy Disaster, do you make kick panel enclosures for 6.5 components??

Where do you store them then? In the back seat?

Since I got my subs, if I take the t-tops off, I leave them at home and just don't park anywhere for very long. But I was reading that some people store them in the back seat.

Any time I did take them off, I set them in the back seat. But living in Florida is a pain. Sunny one second and storming the next.

I know I have read other threads on here saying people were still using the t-top straps with enclosures. I'd test it for you but my amps are in the way.

Thanks pauly01!

Sorry FreeSpirit, I don't make kick panels. The ttops do fit in the bag with out subwoofer enclosures. We designed the enclosures with TTOP cars in mind. The ttop bag is adjustable from factory, some people have to tighten the straps some, and are good to go.

I store my TTOPS behind the back seat. You can slide them between the back seat and the vertical part right behind the back seat. That is just much easier and quicker than using the ttop bag in my opinion.

Re: Nice Single and Dual Subwoofer Enclosures/Boxes- **Price drop -$150**

My subs blew their voice coils due to the box build. Maybe I got a bad one of the bunch. But the box was not well sealed at all. It caused them to bottom out. Because they are so loud, they masked the issue. When I opened the hatch I could hear the coils slapping at low volumes. It gets horrible at higher volumes.

I had to remove the box from my car. I removed the vinyl covering and saw poor joints, angles and some areas not even sealed.

Only 7 screws held the baffle on. I removed the screws and was able to easily remove the top baffle with very little force at all. Very little wood glue was used. Most mating surfaces did not have any glue at all. Then I found screw holes with no screws. Mdf wood split from the screws not being pre-drilled. A couple of spots had 2 or 3 screw holes close together with only 1 being used.

There are large gaps where angled cuts were not done and should have been.

The strongest parts of the enclosure are from the speaker terminal cups I had to buy, drill and install myself. Glued in with liquid nails and screwed in. I removed those screws and the terminal cups do not budge.

I have no doubt that I could remove the remaining screws and disassemble the box without damaging the boards.

I hope no one else has had this issue. I am very sad to have to write this. Parker is a great guy to communicate with. But this box is atrocious. I am out money for the box and my favorite Soundstream 12s are now garbage. I hope this poor build is only me.

Sorry Parker. But I do feel a responsibility to the rest of the members here to inform them. I hope we can resolve this.

First off. I would like to express that Parker is great to deal with. We have been in communication today. The enclosure issue will be resolved. It seems that there were issues in previous (very early) designs. However, he is tending to this personally to replace the enclosure.

I believe everyone deserves an opportunity to make things right. So far he has proved to do right.

I did not set out to ban anyone from buying from him. Just more of a public service announcement. I don't know who all has purchased from him. But looks to be an isolated issue with my box.

5 stars to Parker for customer service. I will post once I receive the replacement box.

I know. The suspense is killing me.

I pretty much gave up on this. I found a seller on eBay that has nice enclosures. Waiting on my 2nd box today. The 1st one was sold with my Formula last week.
