Help identifying rear window louvers
Just pulled a set of rear window louvers off a low-ish mile '92 RS that we have here at work, was looking to sell them, but I can't figure out who the manufacturer is. They're one piece, definitely made of metal, have prop rods on them that are hinged at the bottom with ends pointing out to the sides, and of course the louvers have the cutout for the 1991-92 third brake light, but the car doesn't show the RPO code for factory louvers, and I can't find a GM stamp or part number on these. Any ideas based off my description? Thanks!

Sounds like a factory set. A pic would help. Most aftermarket ones were plastic. 89 and up had the prop rods located at the bottom of the louvers.

The factory louvers were like a 3 piece set with the side curved portions being ABS while all of the slats were aluminum. The set is one piece as they all lock together and lift up/remove as a single unit. A picture will help determine if they are factory or not

Going to try to get pix today or tomorrow, this is the third worst pollen on record here in Atlanta, and they're currently disgusting as a result, so need to get them cleaned up first.

Got them cleaned up. One ding on driver's lower center third brake light louver, one crack on one of the mounting holes. Hardware comes as shown.

Probably going to ask $500 for these local pick up, or $600 shipped, if I can verify that will cover shipping cost.

That’s pretty cheap….I sold a set of the factory mounting brackets for 300 dollars by them selves with out the louvers

First time for me seeing the factory "keys"
I just assumed all these years mine had come with an allen wrench.
Where those painted by some chance?
I don't recall them being much more than a satin-ish lower gloss black. Just curious

No idea, these just came off a car that my work bought. They did a good job painting them though, if it's not a factory finish.

These are still available due to high shipping cost, about to post them in the for sale forum.

I thought the slats remove from the side sections?
Never tried to take mine apart, so maybe its one of those things where that's difficult once they are assembled.

Man do I wish this was a set for an '89. Mine has dents easier counted by the hundred than by hand. Beautiful set, and somebody is gonna get a screaming deal if they pick it up in person!

If you look at the underside, you can see that they do come apart. I sold Drew my set a few years back and I took them apart to ship. The box was still large as the side ABS pieces are one piece each side, but they can come apart for cheaper shipping.
When I packed mine, I found a huge price difference in just 1" so I packed as tight as I could and wrapped everything carefully to protect. I insured for 2x the price to protect Drew's investment and I think shipping was less than $70, but I can't recall exactly.
Oh, and these louvers posted have been painted. From the factory, they are a satin black finish, not gloss. Removing the paint will be a fun project if the gloss black clashes with the car's finish.
