Reproduction door stickers
When my car was repainted they sanded off the original stickers. Where is the best place to get new ones, if possible at all? Pics would be helpful too.
I'd also like to get the underhood ones. I had to replace my hood when a tree branch fell on it.

If you're talking door jam decals, they are kinda specific to your car. Hope you took good pictures of them

Yup, they need pictures of it to make it correctly.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
that figures. I don't know why that idiot that painted my car removed them. I didn't even tell him I wanted the jambs repainted. That was back in 2010 and I'm still bitter about it. 😡

How much do they cost? I can't see a price anywhere on their website.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
Hey guys, I've been working to have our door certification labels remade. I talked to a few professional companies, and none are able to remake them in exactly the same manner as the factory. The original GM labels are some kind of translucent, weatherproof, tear-proof, plastic/Mylar with a white ink coat and the black text, that does not have any plastic covering overlaminate on them, and GM then used an impact printer to add the unique data for that particular car. I even talked to a company that has an impact printer, and they can't recreate them.
I recently had an amazing graphic designer digitally recreate the labels, and he also found the same font used by the impact printers at GM. I'm going to print them as waterproof stickers and run some tests to see how they hold up.
Wanted to gauge interest from the community to see if anyone else would be interested in a set? No idea on pricing but it should be pretty affordable. Thanks!

Haven't done a side by side comparison with mine, but it certainly looks the part. Good job. Mine are still intact, but I might grab some as spare for the future depending on the pricing.

I'm interested in how these come out. Sometime in the relatively near future I'm going to need to replace my driver door. I'd like to replicate the decals when I do that.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
To find the original info, i have used Joe's sample and added to data locations.
This picture is true for 82. 1983 was missing the “CONSUMER INFORMATION TABLE IH” and 1984 had a slightly different label. Here are some observations
This picture is true for 82. 1983 was missing the “CONSUMER INFORMATION TABLE IH” and 1984 had a slightly different label. Here are some observations
- In 1982, “CONSUMER INFORMATION TABLE IH” was included on the MFD. By GM label
- All the pictures I have seen for 82 labels have the CONSUMER INFORMATION TABLE being “IH” I have not seen any other tables listed.
- In 1983, “CONSUMER INFORMATION TABLE IH” was removed.
- In 1984, the MFD. By GM label changed format at bit. Almost everything is in grey boxes now.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
Guy I have started documenting Labels for 1986. I have found a few different version in this year depending on plant and where the car is being shipped. Most of what I have seen is on the RPO sticker. I don't have the other with as I am at work . but keep in mind. I have seen a few with English and French on the same sticker.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
Thanks everyone....I will have the earlier thirdgen labels in production very soon, just finishing up some printing tests. As for the later year labels, if I can get good quality photos of them, I can reproduce them too. More to come soon...

Re: Reproduction door stickers
Hey folks, I recently posted about working to recreate the door jamb stickers. Here's the first test printing. These are printed on waterproof adhesive vinyl. Trying to decide if I need to lighten up the gray boxes, but otherwise, I am extremely happy with these. This style is correct for 1982-83 cars, I am working on 84 style also. I'm willing to do the 85-92's as well if you guys can get me good photos of originals. It's a bit of a process to make since each one is customized to the car but I love it. I will be offering these for sale very soon if anyone is interested.

Re: Reproduction door stickers
I just got my labels from Joe (firebirdta84). They look awesome. I have two T/As, an all original 82 with 67K and a 83 T/A I'm in the process of restoring. With my 83 the labels are gone. With my 82, the labels are half gone, not readable and peeling off. Having new crisp labels is one of those details that i will notice every time i open the door.
