Trying to figure out as much as I can about my 82 Camaro I purchased

Hi, I bought a 1982 Camaro recently off marketplace and I’d like to learn as much as possible. VIN: 1G1AP8717CL171515
it currently has a 2.8L V6 and I was told it was a sport coup

Did you find a SPID label inside the console? It will have every option listed that the car was built with.

Don't think 82/83 cars had the SPID label inside the console. My current 83 doesn't have one (grant it who knows if it fell off or the console was changed). My 83 (back in 87) did not have one. The best bet is to find the build sheet. My current 83 was under the driver's seat. Granted it was shredded.

The 1982 cars didn't have a SPID label. There's a data plate under the hood that has a few items listed, but not much.
