My IROC-Z is for sale again

https://classics.autotrader.com/clas...maro/101907649

I was surprised to see my old car for sale, but it happens. The undercarriage photos look nothing like it did when I sold the car. Hopefully whoever buys it will get it back to the condition it was, unless they just want a driver.

Re: My IROC-Z is for sale again

Seller needs to do a spell check before listing ad.

Re: My IROC-Z is for sale again

I noticed that. Lots of periods in the wrong place, sentence repetition and misspelled words. With the market the way it is, I don't think he'll see anything close to his asking price. Prices are starting to decline and I haven't seen any IROC-Zs with 20k plus miles sell for anything close to these nubers.

It's been awhile since I have been on the site but why did you sell both your 82 and 87 in the same year?

Re: My IROC-Z is for sale again

This makes me wonder if the pictures that Scott frequently posted were doctored and that this is how the car really was all along. I mean, the seller even mentions the word "paste" as in residue.

Got me JT. I had all of you thinking the car was a museum piece for years. Photoshop is a wonderful tool!!!

Just a reminder of my "photoshop detailing" skills when I owned this car.

Re: My IROC-Z is for sale again

Scott, while my red 89 can't compare to this car, in our hearts and minds, I imagine it carries a similar weight, for you and me I mean. What are your thoughts on seeing it? My car went to Wisconsin, (from NC) and thankfully I've never seen a word or picture of the car anywhere. Trust me, I look, never quite knowing if I'm hoping to see it, or hoping I don't!

Re: My IROC-Z is for sale again

Chris, my car was super detailed, and your car was right there, just with mods and more miles.

I didn't sell the car out of need, so I'm not looking to get it back. Seeing it makes me question if I should try to get it back, but I won't do it. Neither of my cars were something that I couldn't let go of. It was time to let both go. I'm not sure I'm ready for any toy cars right now. There's no stress of getting scratches or racking up miles. So, seeing my car online was only because I heard from the owner that it was available. It's somewhat discouraging seeing it advertised as an award winning car when in the present condition, but it does belong to this current owner and he can do what he wants with it.

I see the price dropped again. It's down to $40k.
