Confused with my history and RPO (87 Iroc)
When I bought my car I believe the guy said there were 2 if not 3 owners before him. I know one of them was a college student in the state of Kansas. I bought it from a guy in Texas and I also live here.
He told me that the car had the factory 305 and a 350TPI from a 91 Corvette was swapped. The car looked very unmolested, gold IROC sticker, the gold Iroc wheels, and what I'm pretty sure is the light saddle interrior. The seat belts and everything inside the car essentially match the seats. The door panels are Sandstone.
I'm looking up RPO codes and now I'm wondering of my car was some sort of restore project from years back because things don't match? Some of my options weren't on the nastyZ28 website. I've attached a photo of the door before I had it repainted. I never put the IROC stickers back on. I'm also going to find a youtube video of my car that might show a quick shot of the interior. Does my RPO not say it has grey seats and wheels?? Thanks for all the help. I don't see where it shows the actual color of the interior or exterior paint

The paint color code is 40U for white. The 11Q is for white edge moldings and 15P is grey wheels. The 82C, 82I and 829 all designate grey interior parts.

So someone completely tore out my interior and went with the color it is now? I like it, just would have never guessed it. I wonder how hard it would be to locate former owners?

It would probably be easier to verify that the VIN on the SPID label matches the car. I'm thinking the console was swapped out, which is much easier than swapping the interior.

There is a possibility that in the factory the wrong color interior was installed. I have read of this happening on vehicles. Honestly I would not worry about it too much, as the tan interior would look better than gray, with the White/Gold exterior IMHO
