1988 IROC For Sale on Youtube

Just found this. I don't see it listed in the For Sale Classifieds on TGO, and I didn't notice it posted here where such ads are also usually listed. A TGO member's car?

Re: 1988 IROC For Sale on Youtube

To be clear, posting ads in this section, while may not be technically correct, is something I think is good when they are low mileage & original ThirdGens. That's because they have significance to the History - Originality forum by helping to serve as reference material in addition to us learning more that might not have been known. Also, this section is where the majority of the experts, in regard to originality and correctness, frequent and they can help when a ThirdGen is advertised as something it may not be.

This car has 90K miles on it with some non-oem stuff. So it's kinda stretching the exemption above.

It's a car Lafontaine classics cars has had for a while, they just haven't made a video of it until recent. It's a 5.7 2.77 gear car. Price is way to high on it, probably wont get close to their asking price.

I agree... $18k is high for 90k miles...

We’ve seen prices way up on cars even if they have no power options and aren’t G92 cars just because of low mileage. The now famous 440 mile IROC that went for $55k had highway gears and no power Windows...

90k miles is a different story though.

They could argue that price with 30k less miles maybe.

I’d offer $12k if I was really interested in the car and see what they say... It looks like a nicely kept 90k car but you may want to see the underside. Looks mostly original except the muffler...

It also sounded like the Bose system was not working properly and he didn’t care to let the radio play... Those speakers are self amplified and would need to be sent out to be refurbished to work properly... (sort of a pain)
