Bunch of Players Challenge cars just hit the market

If all of these are true PC cars and not clones of as sort, you collectors better snap them up.

All told, GM built 388 Player’s Challenge Chevrolet Camaro models and 109 Pontiac Trans Am models. Where did these cars end up, one may ask? Well, at least 14 of them have ended up in the possession of one person in Toronto, Ontario. The person recently posted a listing on AutoTrader.ca for a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE Player’s Challenge car and said they have 13 others in good condition lying around, too. The photos appear to back these claims up – showing several different Camaro 1LE models sitting on their property. These cars aren’t just rotting away, either. They all appear to be in good condition and have low miles on them – though it’s safe to say the few miles they do have were very hard-driven.

Asking $43k for a 29k mile 91 is about $20k too high imo.
Not enough pics. More pics of engine andr undercarriage are needed due to being in Canada.

$32k for a low mile, race prepped car? I don't think that's out of line when you consider what the unraced 1LEs have been getting at the auctions.

Re: Bunch of Players Challenge cars just hit the market

I was excited until I saw they appear to be cars that were never raced and none have liveries... still cool cars, though! And I bet most of them have the right transmission (T5).

Interesting collection for sure. These are most likely spare cars that did not get used in the final years of racing. So they should have the original sealed engines (one plus over a regular 1LE car). Some may have a race PROM in them depending if they were prepped in any way.

I'd also guess the undercarriages on them are clean ... need to see of course, but looks to be stored inside. My 91 TA, which was raced it's whole life (in Canad) has zero rust. Underside is clean apart from a few misplaced jacks.

I'm into these cars and the price seems high. Seeing the "batch" if them devalues them in a way as they don't look as rare. Now if some come with history or paperwork of their roots ... then that is better.

If anyone is interested in one of these (or any players car), drop me a PM. I can verify all VINs.

Mark.
