From the description, it sounds like an excellent deal.

Seems kind of rough. Can't really tell much from the photos, any car looks like the paint has that 'wet' look when it's literally wet. The hole in the driver's seat, and faded tops of the back seats suggest a lot of miles. The 5spd swap isn't original, neither is the exhaust, passenger's seat belt guide is a GM replacement, safe to assume that those aren't the only concessions to being a well used thirdgen. It's priced right if there's nothing major wrong with it, but it's a ways off from most of the cars that get discussed here.
But hey, I'm just glad it's not another bright red Iroc.

Absolutely. Just have to take it within the scope of the subforum is all. From a historical/original view point, it's a potential restoration project, whereas most cars that come up in discussion here seem to be preservation candidates. It'd definitely be worth a look for someone searching for that combination of options.

I see this as a car that you could buy for $4,000-5,000.....spend another $2,500 to fix some things and drive it without ever worrying about a rock chip or door ding. It’s a favorite color combo of mine.
