Correct Cruise stalk on eBay
As much as I'd like to get this for myself, I can't, so I want t let everyone know that there is a correct cruise control/intermittent wiper stalk for the mid year third gens on eBay now. Someone from here, that needs this correct part please get it!!

Correct me if I'm wrong.... But the difference between this piece and the original is the markings for the delay wipers, and the shape of the washer sleeve, right?
I'd be all over it, except my Iroc didn't have cruise from the factory anyway. I'll stick with the $15 stalk that 99% of observers will never notice.

All replacement stalks that I've seen have the small shelf under the cruise switch. This one doesn't. This stalk is identical to mine. The replacements have the intermittent wiper with gradient lines, also. Here's mine.

Interesting, I never noticed the earlier cars don't have the shelf, but now that you mention it. Seems the cruise was always switched on in my 83 Camaro... Not sure if the shelf in the later cars keeps it from getting bumped on, or if I'm just more conscious of flipping the switch off.

IIRC this should be correct for 84-88. 89-92 looked the same but the wire is shorter and it plugs in on top of the steering column. This feeds through the column and plugs in down below.

It appears that yes, 88-89 look like the one pictured above, and then 90-92 were smooth taper. I think they are interchangeable tho the difference being the taper.
(Note: for future reference: 1984-1987 Cruise control levers are NOT interchangeable with 88-92) The wires I think are technically all the same for 84+, but the plugs are different, and 88+ the wires are shorter.
IIRC the biggest difference between 82-83 and 84+ was 82-83 was old school mechanical cruise, and 84+ were electronic controlled cruise.
