Bloomberg: The IROC Z Is Your Best Investment for a Classic Camaro
Apols if a repost

Interesting angle about the low miler special spec cars becoming desirable but the rest not really gaining in price. Usually you get the halo effect and the higher miler/ V6 cars etc. enjoy some follow-on appreciation. Almost carving out the high output low miler cars as a market in themselves.

Wow, so maybe I shouldn't modify mine any more than it already is, lol? Now I'm pissed that I didn't grab that yellow 85 I was eying up for $4500

Yeah, articles like this get the thirdgen out there to a wider audience (incl. the speculative investment market). Could be both good and bad!
Was interesting how the article dichotomises between the majority average to poor condition cars (as being stale price wise) and the high end museum piece as sky rocketing.

Well I do watch these type of articles . I saw one about the 88 BMW about 4 years ago. So i picked up a dam near perfect 88 with 75k miles on it for 22k . If you follow these cars you can see that same car will bring 45-50 plus. Heck Hagerty has it listed at almost 80k. Not sure I agree with that. Still have the car. I did the same with with the 88 M5 with 64k miles and that is going through the roof! You may have to wait a bit but but sometimes these guys are right.

E30 M3s went bonkers in only 2-3 years. Also, I hope you haven't gotten the bad news about Lamborghini Countaches
