Yeah, looks like a piece is missing on the RH side dash. May have been caged at one point or something like that.
I wonder how the guy got the car titled and on the road with that state issued VIN...

I always loved that car. Considering how abused these engineering concepts are, I'm surprised at how good of shape it's in.

I love the concept but the paint and wheels are hideous.

The car is very early 90s in the looks department.
Always liked the engineering in the car tho.

Could this be a case where modifying a rare, historic car increases its value?
Put the interior back to stock, paint the exterior a solid white, and swap the wheels out for either stock or high-end aftermarket wheels, and you'd have a period correct sleeper.
Actually, you could probably just swap the seats out and vinyl wrap the exterior and have the best of both worlds.

That's interesting to me too. I know the car was sold on a bill of sale and it doesn't have a VIN. It's basically a race car. I'm guessing it's registered as a kit car or something.

Re: The GM built LT5 Camaro is for sale on ebay
I think it's a bargain too... 1 of 1, was never intended to by sold out into the public... and it's a well known magazine car...
For those of you who have not driven an LT5, you should... they are brutally fun and the combined power with the intoxicating sound of the old school ZF6 is incredible. Here is a pic of mine, they are awesome motors that pull to insane revs. A C4 ZR1 is an awesome car to add to a collection.
This car is pretty special, regardless of if you agree with the taste of the look.... Has been in magazines, on display at the Heritage museum, many people remember this car from when it was built, etc. I would probably put a set of regular silver machined / cleared Ronals on it and keep the others in storage.
So here is my question - Do you guys think the LT5 Z28 is worth more or less than a 91/92 Firehawk?

I think it's worth more than a Firehawk, much more! And you're right, this car was never intended to get out to the public. I interviewed someone from GM back in the day about this car for a local car mag, and he told me when GM was done with this car, the plan was to put all pertinent components through a bandsaw and crush the rest. I'm glad it survived.

I think its a 50k ish car (heard thats what it was purchased for last) which is much less than the last base hawk sold for.
It has a very cool factor going for it (would def own it if I could) dunno why but i just don't see it being worth more than the hawks.
