Not saying that the car is over priced. Taking inflation in to consideration, that car is a $40+ car all day long. Just how much to make it back to stock, reliable again

No. They are an ACC remake. I have the exact same font on a set they made for me when they used my original set to create the remakes.

I'd want to park that right inside my house, I couldn't imagine not being able to drive it though. Neat car. Thanks for posting up all the pics as the ad was already gone when I went to view it.

Re: Holy NICE... Holy price!!
I know people will have different opinions on the value but this car should be kept in a museum or a collection some place. This is as close to just rolled off the production line as it gets. It's a 1LE on top of that. In the future cars like this will be need for historical relevance and comparing factory style restorations.
I would have a hard time not driving this car if I bought it and I would be worried about everything on the road that would make it's value go down. If I had the cash and the room I would keep it in my garage and take it to shows. This car should just be a 100% dedicated show car.

Not to nit-pick, but the alternator and hardware for the gooseneck should look better on a 300 mile car, too much corrosion. Beautiful car otherwise.

I guess we really are nit-picking, since it is not ours.

The corrosion and rust that you see are typical environmental issues. Unless the car was parked in a sealed bubble, any moisture in the air can cause that.
I also don't see where the price is out of line. I know of other cars with low miles that have sold for more than this. I've been thinking of advertising my car and I'm willing to bet that I'd get some interest if I listed it at $40k. I'm not saying that the interested parties will be willing to pay that, but it won't sit advertised with no calls/offers. Certain cars with certain options will interest many collectors. I'd say this car is priced too low for what it has for miles and how everyone thinks a 1LE is something special.

Re: Holy NICE... Holy price!!
I got a GM service manual & 4 NOS wheel center caps with the deal. Car has it's original window sticker, sales contract, build sheet, owner's manual & cassette as well as a whole folder full of other receipts and documents. I paid less than 1/3 of what the red car was listed for in the for sale add at the top of this thread and less than 1/4 of what the other red one was just listed for on E-Bay. He let me have the plate too!

That looks to be a great car you got yourself, I would be more than happy with that congrats.
But its not really in the same ballpark as a car with 315 miles in showroom condition.

Yeah.. it is not really the same. He saved a boat load of money, and with 60k on the clock, he can actually drive and enjoy it. Taking both of those into consideration, I think I would take his. Unless I owned a museum.

Re: Holy NICE... Holy price!!
Mine is a well cared for car that's been lovingly maintained & enjoyed over the past 24 years and has a few stories to tell about it. The others are investments, put away & forgotten only to be brought out and offered at a loss compared to time/inflation when the owners or their heirs decide they are tired of walking by them or paying for the real estate to house them.
10 years from now, mine will have another 10,000 miles on it, a few more stories, will be in pretty much the same condition and will have increased nicely in value. I had a blast with this car today, all told I put over 60 miles on it, ripping around town & out into the Litchfield Hills.
