445 mile GTA

Price is up there, but it is a nice specimen. He has a few low mile 3gs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Trans-Am-GTA-1989-pontiac-gta-y-84-5-7-t-top-as-new-gm-museum-trans-am-/151493449649?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2345b697b1&item=151493449649&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Re: 445 mile GTA

This car come up often, it's a freakin fantastic example of that body style GTA and IMO, one of the most desirable color combos and options. Last time I saw it, it was $40K if I recall.

Is it worth $60? I would say yes IF the buyer plans to keep it for another 10-15 years to get even more for it, otherwise no. I think it is worth every penny of $40K tho no matter what.

He should put the P/N decals on the wheels then it would be absolute perfection! Gorgeous car.

Re: 445 mile GTA

A TTA with that mileage won't fetch that kind of money. The seller is very unrealistic IMO

Re: 445 mile GTA

Put 10,000 miles on it and you'd experience $50k in depreciation. That's almost as bad as a new Jaguar.

Re: 445 mile GTA

This is that seller's schtick. He does his homework and buys rare, desireable, low mileage cars. Then he writes a beautiful ad and lists it for sale at twice what it's worth. Fun way to make a buck.

Re: 445 mile GTA

And he does sell them to other people looking at extremely low mile, clean cars. I know someone with a low mile IROC and this seller contacted him regarding it. His reason was because he just sold one of his IROC's for high 30s or low 40s. He has a reputation and buyers know what they are getting from him and are willing to pay it.

That's why I wouldn't want that car. You could never drive it! You'd be much better off and money ahead to get a crappy one and totally restore it! It IS gorgeous though, I admit. If someone gave it to me I'd sell it and use the money to pay off my house and do work on my own Formula! LOL

If you never drive the car, does it technically become a Push Car?

You push it on to the trailer, you push it off the trailer, you push it to a car show...

That car is absolutely stunning !!!!!! Price is high but the mileage is remarkable. I highly doubt there are many left out there with 445 miles in that shape.

Re: 445 mile GTA

What a total waste of a VERY nice car.

I can see it now......"Hey guys, come on over to my collection and lets LOOK at them all day!"

I am soooo glad I was able to enjoy mine for 26 years.

Reminds me of people who buy 2 Identical cars, drive one and store one.
If I only had so much money to be able to do that.
