Nice Low Mileage 1987 IROC-Z On Ebay

Nice looking low mile 1988 IROC selling on ebay at no reserve. Will be interesting to see what it sells for. Lots of nice pix, I saved them to my collection.

Re: Nice Low Milage 1987 IROC-Z On Ebay

It was bid up to $24,100 August 22nd, but that auction had a reserve so no sale. It then sold with no reserve at $20,900 on August 29th. It was relisted on September 5th with a Buy It Now for $28k. It was listed on September 11th with a BIN of $28k. It was listed on September 16th stating that the winning bidder couldn't pay until the end of September, so the seller relists the car with an auction that ends at the end of the month!!!

Something doesn't seem right to me. If the car bid up to $24k with a reserve, why would you sell it a week later for $21k with no reserve. You can do a last chance offer to the high bidder. Now he's listing it again with no reserve. I'll bid $10k and hope nobody else bids!!!

I thought I might have seen that before but wasn't sure. Yeah, that does seem a bit strange. But I've seen a lot of cars on ebay get re-listed for non-payment or the bidder rejects it as "not as advertised". Not sure what's up here, sure looks nice in the photos though.

They look so crisp with that amount of miles and use... The whole couldn't wait till end of month thing is suspect to me?

Such a fantastic car, but the red interior is just difficult to look at.

Re: Nice Low Milage 1987 IROC-Z On Ebay

Whats the deal with it being one of one produced in that color combo? It's the exact same colors as my 1987. Back in the 80/90's I know I have seen more in this color scheme.

If thats 1 of 1, what does that make my car then?

So, this car got me curious after my post above. Look what I found in my own town.
Another 1 of 1 color scheme.

There must be something else the seller is referring to with production numbers?

I think with a black interior it would have went over $20K.

Here's another low mileage one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291250168249...:SS:SS:US:3160

Surprised that somebody would spring for the convertible option, but not the deluxe interior?
I would put the stripes back on it too. just my preference.

I would. I love those high-back bucket seats in the base interior. It's what I bought in my '91 RS.

Very nice, and it's a 5 speed. I agree, would better with the stripes.

I think it was popular in the 90's to peel them off. Most current cars didn't have them anymore & they dated the cars a bit. But now that they are becoming classic cars, they need to be back on IMO

Reminds me of the trans ams of the late 70's By the 1980's its was not cool to have a chicken on your hood. Now, its nostalgic.

The cool factor on that car is that it's a 5-speed, G92 (if you zoom in on the window sticker you can see it), and it's a factory radio delete! A rare one for sure!
