Original Carb Numbers

Anyone know what the original carb numbers would be for an 83 TA with 5 speed. Mine is an export code so it should be non CCC.

Re: Original Carb Numbers

This website should be able to answer your questions. If you scroll down a bit you will find the carb numbers listed by year.

Re: Original Carb Numbers

In case the link dies for some reason, here are the correct carb numbers for 1983 :

17083205 : ALL, 5.0L, MT, all, Z-28-H.O., Trans Am-H.O
17083207 : ALL, 5.0L, MT, AC, Z-28-H.O., Trans Am-H.O
17083280 : CANADA, 5.0L, AT, w/o AC, F-Body
17083281 : CANADA, 5.0L, AT, AC, F-Body
17083282 : CANADA, 5.0L, MT, w/o AC, F-Body
17083283 : CANADA, 5.0L, MT, AC, F-Body

I wonder what the carb numbers for US cars with Auto are.

Re: Original Carb Numbers

I read a post from a member in Sweden. The car is an early (82-84) thirdgen and the carb is an M4ME. I was surprised to see this. Another member commented that some cars built for high altitude did not get the E4ME carb. So it is possible that there are early thidgens that did not come from the factory with an electronic carburetor. I would guess that these were export high altitude cars.
