Finally bit the bullet and ordered my Vehicle Invoice thru www.gmmediaarchive.com. I knew the vehicle was special ordered due to the 1AZ RPO, and a vehicle history check from some aftermarket site last year told me the car was registered in Mansfield Ohio, so I had a feeling it was from that area. Turns out, when I received my Invoice, it was a GM employee who ordered the car and was indeed from the Mansfield area. I grayed out his name on the second page of the invoice for privacy reasons.

So if your car was special ordered by a GM employee, you may get lucky and get a name. I know the format of the invoices have changed as the years went on so they may have stopped that.

Since White on the IROC-Z wasn't introduced until spring of 85, according to the shipping date on my invoice, its likely my car was the first one that dealer saw that was white.

I think the coolest thing about getting the invoice is seeing what dealer it came from. None of the RPO's surprised me as I decoded those years ago.

After I got the invoice I had a window sticker made from windowsticker.com. I dont see anything terribly wrong with it. If you guys find something, Im not going to send it back. Its good enough for me.

Thanks for posting this! I have been on the fence about ordering one since I didn't know exactly what they were going to send. Now that I've seen one I'm definitely going to order one!

Yeah you basically fill out a request form on the site with your contact info and your vin. Then they call you and get your CC info. You can choose to have it sent in an email as a PDF or mailed the old fashioned way.

Like I said the biggest thrill for me was finding out the original dealer info.
