someone, anyone
buy this and fix it, camaro history needs it to be saved, don't let the bad owner it has ruin it forever http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/3641230774.html

once bought, that one needs to go straight to the shop to get that underbody damage and rust fixed Actually looks halfway decent in many other areas though-besides the nasty carpet...

Saved from what? I didn't see anything in the ad that said it was in eminent danger...
Aside from that, does anyone else think it's a little strange that this 170K Ohio car doesn't show a spot of rust on the underside or engine compartment?

Re: someone, anyone
"It has a rebuilt salvage title"
"The trans slips from 2-3"
"The fan is wired to stay on all the time and has a push button start." (seriously only retards do this)
" I think it may need a VATS bypass."
remember what i said about retards, yeah this too, I've never seen it done cleanly, I've never seen it done so that it actually works.
i rest my case, as for the rust issue, there are alot of ohio cars with no rust, for most of their lives they were GARAGE KEPT, i'm betting once this one got to a certain point and was probably replaced with a newer camaro by the owner that took care of it, some ******* presumable in his mid to late twenties who thought he knew it all bought it to be a "fast car" which it is to a point, but then the trans went bad, it probably needed a coolant temp sensor but rather then just fix it the right way he wired it up like an idiot to just run all the time and now because of the VATS issue he probably cant drive it anymore and is trying to pawn it off on someone else (hence the cl add) end rant.

Rebuilt title killed any real value. While a desirable car, and a half way decent deal on a solid car. It's not a collector car. Outside of an enthusiast buying it for a driver/project there is no real value to the average person. There is a 91 Chevy pickup on my local list...should that be saved too? I feel that most F-bodies should get there chance, hopefully someone gets it that knows what to do with it.

Re: someone, anyone
The starting issue he describes in the ad sounds EXACTLY like a failed fuel pressure regulator valve.

Yes, but to the collector that would save this thing, it means the car is worth next to nothing. Why dump the 10k or so this car needs into freshening/restoration when the actual value will be halved due to the salvage title? That's why this car would make a great candidate for a restomod. Looks like the body is straight enough for it.

Re: someone, anyone
i see your point there but still, I'm no expert but isn't 91-92 the lowest camaro production years, especially z28s? isn't g92 a pretty rare option? i saw a tta on cl too same deal salvage title and it wouldn't start, pretty sure it was the ignition switch because he said he had nothing, if i had the 2300 he wanted at the time I'd of snagged it up and torn into it with a test light to get it running, after that buff it and shampoo the carpets, it would of looked new. i don't know what happened to that car

Re: someone, anyone
G92 was required with the 350 in 91-92. Nice example of a performance third gen, but the salvage title kills the value of it. Unless its 20 years from now and restorations on these were common, and the title was washed and ended up clean, the car will never have a ton of value to it.
With that said, its a great car to restomod. I would love to take a car like that and do period-correct mods. Full SLP exhaust and CAI, SFCs, STB, Bilsteins, mild cam...sweet car.

Re: someone, anyone
Is sure does matter. The salvage title never goes away, once the car has it-it's branded for life here. Ture you can slap it together with sting and tape and as long as the horn, lights and a few other things work, plus proof on non-stolen repair parts and the OHP will give you a Salvage/rebuilt title-but again it will never have a clean/clear title.
I don't find it odd that there is no rot under the car. 1. Columbus does not get much snow if any and they don't use much salt if any down there like they do up here in NE Ohio. 2. My 92 RS has some surface rust here and there, but the underside of my car is clean and rock soild. Like was said alot of people around here put sports car away for winter.
The car in the listing seems like it was a very cool car back in the day, but at this point it's a huge heep of issues.

Ok so I was wrong, but still stock they did not have a turbo on them like the TA did.
