I don't recall seeing a 1985 IROC this shade of silver before. Original color or repaint?

Re: 1985 Camaro IROC-Z, Light Silver Metallic

Yes that was a one year color. That car looks to be in good shape and it has the LB9 which was the most powerful engine that you could get that year.

Also since it's and 1985 LB9 it dosen't have the peanut cam that many other of the LB9/700r4 powertrain combinations in later years recieved.

Hopefully it has the 3.42 gears as well.

I was thinking it might be. I've looked at an awful lot of internet ads and I think that's the first I've seen. Very nice, unique, hope it finds a good home.

From what I understand all 85 LB9's were automatics with the GU6 3.42.

Re: 1985 Camaro IROC-Z, Light Silver Metallic

Hopefully that is true. Although I did read a magazine article a long time ago that tested a 1985 LB9 IROC and they said that particular car got the 3.23 gears.

I thought that all the 1985 LB9 IROC's got 3.42 gears and the 1985 Z28 LB9 cars got 3.23 gears.

Either way that is a very nice silver IROC.

This article talks about the powertrains that were available for 1985 and the optional gears too.

From thirdgen.org they say that 3.23 gears came standard on 1985 LB9 IROC's and 3.42 gears were optional.

Yes, I meant to say IROC-Z for 85 has the GU6, not just 85's across the board. Sorry.
