1992 Camaro badging and heritage package
added a nice 1992 Z28 (T-tops) to my collection last year and have begun improving to be daily driver. The previous owner had the car repainted (purple haze) and when i saw it, the badger were not on it. When i picked it up, the rocker badges are silver but the tail badge (sticker really) is purple. I thought maybe the rocker badges should also be purple.... but then I saw one of the 1992 factory pics just posted and one the purple cars ALL of the badgers are silver! What should they be?
The car has a LB9 engine...on the other side of the rear, you can tell there used to be a badge that was removed for painting but was not reinstalled.... Should that be "Tuned Port Injection"?
My car did not have the heritage package but I really wanted it... Since my car already has the black grille and headlight pockets... seem all i need to do is add the silver stripes and tail badge right?
thanks!

As far as looks go I personally think the silver would look better with the purple color. In terms of the Heritage/25th Anniversary Package, it sounds like you've got everything but the stripes and the badges, so I'd say why not add them, but that's just my opinion.

Looking around at other pics, its seems the rocker badges are often silver but the tail badge is often body color coordinated..... maybe that changed over the year or was based on what was available....
I think i am go for the heritage package, its what I wanted and couldn't find....never put on "decals" before...
at least it will look original!

IIRC, the grill on the Z03 option was body color.
I have a '92 Z28 Z03 Vert and my rear badge is red and rockers are silver, which struck me as weird, but I think its correct. I'd like to find out for sure though.

Yeah the grill was painted body color on the Heritage editions, I almost forgot about that. In my personally I prefer the black grill as opposed to the body color, but that's just me either way it's gonna look great.

I thought the same on the grille....
but check out the order sheet posted on thirdgen.org under "multimedia". The sales brochure has an asterik next to purple haze that says the grille remains black for this body color......

My 92 RS Z03 is White with the Red Stripes. The side rocker emblems are sliver, but the back RS badge is Red.
