So for my third seperate response in this thread, I can now add my 88 IROC 350 I brought home 10 days ago...21,034 upon pickup, 21,119 now I'm hoping throughout the years, this car and the aforementioned 31,000 mile 86 TA LB9 will treat me well. Neither has ever been opened up.

My 115k mile LO3, on the other hand, has bucked the trend of never-opened, flawless TBIs. It puked oil so bad I started with changing the valve covers because it was such an oily mess. Still leaked...pulled the intake and changed that. Still leaked...found out the RH head gasket disintegrated, much to the disbelief of many on this board. Pulled both heads, regasketed everything while adding Edelbrock headers, water pump, aluminum TBI intake etc.

2k miles later, after sitting for all of 2009 with the interior gutted to be Dynammated and re-done, the only thing left that can leak oil is now leaking...the crank seal

I think I MIGHT be done replacing crap after that...
