Car: 1989 IrocZ Convertible
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: T5 - 5 Speed Standard
Axle/Gears: 3.08
That's almost the same as my '89 IrocZ . . .

FE2 - Suspension System
6ZW - Coil Spring, Computer Selected, Front, Left (14029397)
7ZW - Coil Spring, Computer Selected, Front, Right (4029397)
8NL - Coil Spring, Computer Selected, Rear, Left (10018091)
9NL - Coil Spring, Computer Selected, Rear, Right (10018091)

FE2 RPO code is the same as well as the rear suspension, but the front is different.
I wonder what the difference is?

Keep in mind that there was many springs for each code. Computer selected means they picked a spring that was matched for the vehicle weight. FE2 had 5 or 6 spring part numbers ... so it is correct to say that a vehicle with lots of options and FE2 had a different spring than one with no options.

I suspect now you can only order one spring model from GM or aftermarket now.

Mark.

The spring question drove me wacky (I'm finally going with Moog stock replacements). Here's a post which provides a ton of info:
