'92 Camaro RS green/gold Heritage Edition?
I apologize if this topic is on the wrong forum, not really sure where to post this at.....
Does anybody have any images, or image links, of a '92 RS Heritage Edition, dark green w/ gold stripes? I'm aware that these cars are very rare (I think they only made them during the second half of '92?) but I can't seem to find any pictures of them, although I am certain I have seen pictures of them before somewhere online.
The reason that I ask is because I own a set of gold RS emblems and the gold stripes that go on the hood, and I am considering repainting my RS because it could really use some new paint. It is currently teal, which I like, but it is very common and I'm seriously considering going with the dark green/gold scheme like the Heritage Edition. Cany anyone help me out on this? It would be greatly appreciated.

I think the green/gold heritage is BY FAR not only the rarest, but the best looking too. It looks amazing. I've never seen one in person (i doubt anyone on this site has), but i could only imagine... You should definately do it!!!

Come on A. Mack, the best looking heritage? I think all the color packages have there own appeal. Clearly, the black/red and white/red have a more classic feel to them. The other combos like the green/gold had a more 4th gen kinda next generation feel. Like that plum purple color, they were colors that were introduced and only available in mid-late 92'. Now, that we a have a few green/gold pics out of the way why don't we post some pics of other heritage color packages. I personally love the red with black stripes combo.

To say that people on this board have never seen a car like that is absurd. I almost bought one!! It was loaded with tan leather, ttops and all. Very nice car. The dealer wanted $14500 for it at the time too. Would you believe that many of us also have seen the 93 Pace Cars on the dealer floors when they were new?

Iam aware of that many of the members of this site are over 20 years old. Just because they were old enough to distinctly remember 1992 doesnt mean they ever saw a green/gold heritage in person. Find me some production numbers and we can evaluate this further...i will restate my claim that probably not too many people on this site (less than 5%) have ever seen a green/gold in person...

OK, I'm about 95% sure I'll be repainting my '92 RS to look like a green/gold Heritage Edition. I have the gold RS badges and the hood stripes, but I do not have the deck lid stripes. However, I really don't need them because I suppose they can just be painted on
I also have a set of gold 16'' polished IROCs that will match the car nicely once it is painted

Gotta go with A. Mack on this one, never seen, nor did I know of, a green/gold heritage package. Every 92 I have seen with the package was black/red or white/red. Let's get back on topic and stop chewing each other out. Somebody get production numbers and we will go from there on how "RARE" these gold packages are, not by age or location. It would be easy for me to say they are rare when I live in Augusta, GA where Z71 pick-ups and F-150s are in demand unlike Cali or Northern states. Down here, if you see an f-body it's lucky to have primer on it, no one drives them, just abunch of trucks. So someone dig up some numbers and we can go from there.

There's no production numbers kept. The only way to know is to find out how many gold decals were sold in 92. Since the Green/Gold was the only gold package, that would narrow the numbers, but that info is available.
It was a half year only and it was the second half, so most Heritage cars are Black, Red or White.

They're out there, you just have to look for them. It might sound crazy, but once I bought my heritage car, I started seeing them everywhere. It's not that they got more common all the sudden, I just started noticing them more because I was more aware of them.

Dude, I've seen like three or four of them. I've seen a bunch of all the heritage color combos. In my neighborhood alone there are two white/red RS's, a red/black RS vert, and my red/black Z28. As a matter of fact, I saw a whire/red RS on the way home today.

In PA, specifically Philadelphia, I don't remember seeing a thirdgen vert. In NJ, down in Wildwood, I saw one camaro vert RS, looked very nice.

Well, if the green/gold ones are not rare now, they will be one day, and EXPENSIVE! To only be produced for half a year..........give it 15 years and prices will skyrocket. Not sure where mine will stand because in 15 years none of mine will be original (already got the paint, new interior, and ZZ4 coming). So I'd say with production only half a year, they gotta be rare for a 3rd gen.

Wow... It's a toss up between the green/gold and the red/black for me!
The green one looks amazing, but it's also the little details that set it off. The gold paint on the rims for instance.
If you repaint yours, are you going for the full clone, or just color and stripes?

Here's a rare one...it's a GM concept heritage package before the heritage package came out. They were going to build 602 B4C/RS's with 300HP 5.7 and a ZF 6 speed! How sweet would that have been

It's unfortunate, but GM has pretty much destroyed the white Heritage prototype. They've crushed all samples and the one remaining was transformed into another car. Keep those pictures because you probably will never see the car again.

As far as I know, the LAST 92 heritage car is NOW that same yellow RS with the Ramjet pictured above.
I've seen several gold/green RS cars, how about z28s though. I've never seen one. I have seen a purple/silver convertible Z though!!!! Can't prove it was authentic though, but my buddy DOES have an authentic purple silver Z.

I just read about this tonight. According to camarosource.ca, the green/gold was only available on RS versions.

I have no idea how accurate this is.

Anybody else watching this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-...QQcmdZViewItem
It seems to me by the lastest bid, $5300, that somebody is fairly interested in gold/green heritage cars. I don't monitor RS prices, but $5300 is a good bit of cash for a 130,000 mile car.
